advocacy

As landscape architects, we have an opportunity to advocate for the environment. We design with conservation in mind - incorporating existing trees, native vegetation, natural features and drainage, rock outcroppings…into our design to not only preserve, but to retain the special qualities and character of the site.

We have extensive experience coordinating specimen tree rescue and relocation, establishing on-site nurseries, and re-vegetating disturbed sites with native plant material. By rescuing and relocating specific plants, the cost savings are tremendous, and often the native plant material is not available in nurseries. The relocated plants are already site-specific and adapted, and as a result thrive.
